HAVING DIFFICULTIES LOGGING IN TO SURVEYMAKER? :.

There are a few things that may make logging in to SurveyMaker troublesome. We have taken every step to try and make it as easy as possible for you to use SurveyMaker, however a few items are out of our control.

1. I am able to see the login screen, but when I type in my username and password I get a 'page not found' error.

This error most commonly occurs for users who are clicking on the survey link from within a web-based email system such as HotMail or Yahoo!Mail. In essence your web-based email program runs what is called a session variable (storing information on the data you are entering which is terminated when you leave the site). When you click on the hyperlink to launch SurveyMaker (and its session variable), the system realises there is already one running. You will be able to see the login screen, but entering your username and password to login tries to initiate the sessions variable and conflict occurs. As a result you will usually get a 'page not found' error. To get around this problem, copy your web address, username and password (if applicable), close down your email program and try again. You will then successfully be able to enter the survey.

2. When I click on the web address for the survey I get a screen like the one below. What do I do?

This usually occurs for several reasons, but the most common is that you do not have cookies enabled on your internet browser. If you allow your browser to accept cookies (you can always turn it off afterwards) then you should have no problems logging in.

The other reason you may received this error is because the survey has been closed by the Survey Designer (in which case you would need to contact the person who invited you to participate in the survey) or that the web address you are using is incorrect.

3. I am unable to log in and I am not getting any error messages. What should I do?

Please check that you are typing in the username and password provided at the bottom of your emailed invitation. The password must appear exactly as it appears in your email. You may find it useful to copy and paste the username (email address) and password into the login fields of SurveyMaker.

If you are still having problems, we are only too happy to try and assist. Please contact your Survey Designer (the person who sent the email invitation to you) in the first instant and if they are unable to help they will contact us with your query.
